Civil Life American Brown
Long enough ago, all beer would’ve been brownish because of the difficulty of cooking the malted grain without darkening it. Same was true in America until the fancy-pants German immigrant brewers started brewing pale lagers which eventually took over. Thankfully, American homebrewers and a few bold craft brewers like us have revived American Brown Ale for your pleasure. Malty, caramelly, tart and toasty, earthy and citrusy, with delicious hints of bitter chocolate and dark roasted coffee. Y’know that story about the hypocrite who tattled to President Abraham Lincoln about General Grant’s drinking? Ol’ Abe answered, “Well, find out what he’s drinking so I can send a barrel to every general in the army.” We’re pretty sure Grant was drinking The Civil Life American Brown.

Blue Moon Belgian White Ale

THE RIGHT BLEND OF INGREDIENTS AND IMAGINATION

Blue Moon® Belgian White* was our first year-round release back in 1995.

It started with our brewmaster, Keith Villa, wanting to craft a beer inspired by the flavorful Belgian Wits he enjoyed while studying brewing in Belgium. He brewed his interpretation using Valencia orange peel versus the traditional tart Curaçao orange peel, for a subtle sweetness, and added a touch of coriander to provide balance. Then he added oats and wheat to create a smooth, creamy finish that’s inviting to the palate. As a final touch, he garnished the beer with an orange slice to heighten the citrus aroma and taste. Its natural unfiltered appearance adds to the depth of flavors in Belgian White*.

Guinness Stout

Rich and creamy. Distinctively black. Velvety in its finish. This iconic beer is defined by harmony. Sip after sip, sweet counters bitter as the malt arrives on cue to compliment a base of roasted barley. Just as the unmistakable white head sits flush atop the dark beer, so do the flavors counter and combine perfectly. This is our greatest innovation. Truly unique. Perfectly balanced. Made of More™.

Aroma: Sweet smelling with a coffee and malty nose

Flavor: Perfect balance of bitter and sweet with malt and roast characters

Palate: Smooth, creamy and balanced

ABV: 4.2%

Appearance: Distinctively dark, with a rich creamy head

Kona Big Wave Golden Ale

Big Wave is a lighter-bodied golden ale with a tropical hop aroma and flavor—smooth, easy drinking, and refreshing. The use of caramel malt contributes to the golden hue of this beer, and our special blend of hops provides a bright, quenching finish that makes it a struggle to not grab another one.

Odell’s 5 Barrel Pale Ale

Named for the 5 select hop additions diligently administered by our brewers throughout the process, we start with an infusion of fresh whole-flower hops in the Hop Back and Fermentor. Then we go four more rounds during the kettle boil, giving this refreshing pale ale a lively flavor and aroma that always keeps us coming back for more.
